In "Velluda," Ksenia Sizaya reimagines birds playing in snow using thick, tactile layers of paint and broad brushstrokes. Billowing white texture contrasts with the dynamic brushwork underneath, evoking the essence of early spring. "The birds' wings catch the snow and pale morning light, and they are lost in clouds of flakes and ice crystals. Their joy is contagious," the artist explains. CB2 exclusive.
