Pair with a floor lamp and a side table for books, coasters and snacks. Tip: modernize the look of a chair with a classic frame by pairing it with a modern accent table. A velvet armchair next to the entryway console works, too, accentuating the luxe look of the overhead chandelier. While a room of all velvet furniture certainly works, it isn’t necessary for cohesion.
